What is SHARE THE PLATE all about?

What is SHARE THE PLATE all about?

This Sunday, May 25th, is a SHARE THE PLATE Sunday.

SHARE THE PLATE is a way we support local interfaith and social justice organizations. Half of what we receive in this Sunday’s plate offering (excluding those gifts specifically designated as payments toward your pledge) will be shared with the Women’s Interfaith Alliance of Central Georgia.

The Women’s Interfaith Alliance of Central Georgia is composed of women from different faiths coming together to explore their spirituality and learn about each other in a context of love, compassion, cooperation, and community service. The group meets monthly to learn about practices and beliefs of the various religious traditions present in our community while sharing lunch together. In addition, the group supports various subgroups active in study, support, and service to our greater community.

If you wish the full amount of your gift in this Sundays’s plate offering to go to support this worthy faith partner, place your check or cash in an offering envelope and mark it with the initials “WIA” for Women’s Interfaith Alliance. Please give generously and graciously.
