Reverend Tina Cansler Clark, M.Ed., M.Div., CSD

Tina comes to High Street from the woods atop beautiful Hog Back Mountain in Cullowhee, NC where she has lived for several years with three canine companions and many wise old trees. After working in special education and later in parish ministry, Tina spent decades as a hospice chaplain and an ER chaplain, where she had the privilege of holding presence for those experiencing trauma and grief. Most importantly, she is a grateful Grandmother to 5 beautiful little humans.

Tina finds joy in growing things, journaling, reading, walking in the woods, sitting with the trees and mushrooms and hearing the stories of folks as they do the fascinating work of getting to know themselves and their own beauty. She is excited and curious and open-hearted about beginning this new adventure with High Street.

Tina attended West Georgia College, where she earned her undergraduate and masters degrees in Special Education. She began her career working as an educational therapist with emotional and behaviorally challenged children. She earned her Masters of Divinity from Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology, with a concentration in Pastoral Care and Counseling. Tina is also a graduate of the Spiritual Direction program at The Haden Institute, where she now trains future spiritual directors.
