“Children’s Christmas Pageant”
Paula Del Rio
Children and adults alike are invited to participate in our annual Absolutely-No-Rehearsal Children’s Christmas Pageant. How can anyone miss the opportunity to accompany angels, shepherds, magi, and a lamb or two to Bethlehem to “Ooh” and “Aah” at the wee babe in a manger.

Concerned about the ICE raids and what is happening to the detainees? How can we help?
High Street Friends:
Many of us are concerned about the ICE raids and what is happening to the detainees. Stewart Detention Center in South Georgia is one location where folks are being held. Nearby is a helping center called El Refugio (the Refuge). It’s a lovely home with children’s play rooms where families can stay while visiting their loved ones.
Several High Streeters visited there a few years ago and met to support some detainees.
In collaboration with El Refugio, we at High Street are sending cards of encouragement to the detainees. In the front foyer of the church there is a basket with stationery and prayer cards in Spanish. PLEASE join us in sending encouraging words to these folks! It won’t take long and there is even a sheet with Spanish phrases on it so you can put them into a familiar language.
THANKS!!
